Ugh, my daily morning greeting of hundreds of ants is getting old. Today, they decided to come in through a crack under the cabinet line above the coffee pot. It seems this wall (back wall of the kitchen and front side of the living room) is their entry point from the foundation.
There was hundreds of them, again, and this time they were all over the toaster. It took the standard ten minutes to clean them all up and plug the whole with poison. Being I’ve pretty much plugged all cracks on this wall, I’m wondering where’s next. Man, I wish it would stop raining so they stop coming in. This driving me batty (and getting me thinking I should get an ant eater for a pet.)

Hey man,
We had a HUGE spider problem. HUGE.
Now we have no spiders. We called the Clark guy, and for 40 bux every other month he comes out and sprays. The bug killer tech dude said that 10 min. after spraying the poison, it dries and is as harmless to humans as table salt.
We are happy, no more spiders or pincher bugs. Just their litle bug bodies everywhere for the first month, and now, nothing! Maybe you should spary for ants!
If you do, one word of caustion, they make you sign up for a year, this I did not know as they came while I was a t work and Suz signed the agreement. Plus I read the agreement, and unless you call them and end the agreement a year from when it started, you are automatically signed up for another year. That is lame!
Anyway, DEATH TO THE ANTS!!

Ya, I’ve considered that, but with little ones and all, I don’t want to do it. Clark doesn’t want to kill off any business, so of course they’ll tell you the poison is harmless as table salt, but either table salt gives cancer or everyone of my parents dogs got it some other way while Clark was spraying their house. Since they’ve stopped using Clark, no cancer. So, I don’t feel safe using them. Bummer they trap you into a year contract, but this may be part of the reason.
I did find a “new” chemical (it’s made by FMC, the former owner of my mom’s company and major supplier of the active ingredients to Coke) that states it’s safe. This may be what Clark is using now, though a local pesticide company said Clark doesn’t use this particular one. Either way, there wasn’t much case studies on it, so I passed.
The way I see it is this way. What are they (Clark and everyone else)? Pesticide. Cide: to kill. If what they’re using can kill pests, then it will at minimum hurt young ones. I’m hoping my kids don’t get cancer and I don’t want to start them on that road early, so I’ve decide to not go with a pesticide agent. I already have major issue using these sprays, but without even them, there’s no stopping these ants. Ugh, what a dilemma!
