I spoke to Rebecca early this morning and just have this quick moment to brief you all of what’s going on.
Michaela drank some fluid orally and kept it down. She then even had some milk and kept that down, too. So, they’re very comforted by that; however, she has a 103° temperature. The nurses believe she may have an infection and they took some blood (ouch!) to run some tests. If the tests come back with an infection they can treat with antibiotics that they can administrate outside of hospital care, they’ll send her home. So, there’s a change of discharge today.
Rebecca was so thankful to our Lord for blessing Michaela with a farm scene in her room. Out of all rooms, she got that one! She also has three balloons at the front of her bed and her spirits are pretty good considering her condition and her environment. Rebecca was able to stay the night with her and is her personal nurse as the staff is very busy. Motherly love is the best care she could get right now, anyway.
Tom is probably there now and I’ll try to get more information out as I get it. Thank you all for your prayers and I hope to report even more good news later!
