So you want Hitachi’s (formally IBM’s) hot 4GB CompactFlash Type II Microdrive? But you don’t have $500 for it? Ya, now the feeling and apparently so do others out there with the perfect scam.
See like Apple, Creative has their own MP3 player housing the Hitachi 4GB Microdrive. This player goes for a mere $200 and if you take it apart, the CF drive pops right out and into your CF slot just fine. Yup, it’s seen as a regular ‘ol drive and ready to use for $300 off the standard price! Oh ya, you also get a free pair of headphones, too!
Read the Wired article on this. Very interesting.
