Never Get Generic Ink Cartridges

Yaaa. I tried one of those really cheap generic replacement printer ink cartridges for my HP printer and man, was that a bad idea. At half the cost of HP genuine parts, I was willing to try it. I’m tired of paying almost $50 a cartridge, so I gave it a try. The first few prints were perfect. I couldn’t even tell the difference. Then, the printer started telling me it was time to change the cartridge! After me ignoring it for a while, the warning went away. But then I started noticing my print jobs looked poor. Then it went from poor to ‘dude, change your cartridge ’cause it’s missing spots and is faint’ status. Ugh.

So I broke down yesterday and did. I put in HP cartridges and now it’s fine once again. It’s a bummer that you can’t buy other brands as these things are bank. Refilling yourself is something I would never try and now this is something I probably won’t try again, either. Be forewarned, fellow printers! :)
