A defiant Saddam Hussein was brought to the new court of Iraq to answer nine charges laid against him for his crimes against the people of Iraq and Kuwait. Calling the latter “dogs” and telling the judge, “I cannot believe you, an Iraqi, are charging me with this when you know Kuwait is part of Iraq,” Saddam was in classic form. He was defiant and told the court to address him as the president of Iraq. Further, he refused to sign any court documents and would not proceed without his lawyer present.

What is labeled the Trial of the Century, this is just the start in a very interesting trial to be sure. It should be interesting to see what scum defends this treacherous murder and if France and Germany fund his defense team.

A Google News search will give you plenty of articles to browse further on this story.
