Aaah man. I knew getting into DSLR would have it’s cons. One of my favorite things about my Canon G2 and G5 was the swivel LCD. I was able to take hard-to-see shots by looking at the LCD instead of the viewfinder. In fact, I never used the viewfinder. Well with an SLR, you do have to. It’s part of the design since the CMOS never sees light until that mirror pops up, blinding the view finder for a brief moment, and sheds itself to the censor. No way to do it unless another sensor was added elsewhere or the SLR was hacked.

So, what’s one to do when you want the camera near the ground for that towering up shot? Get your face dirty or get a right-angle finder attachment. B&H (my favorite camera store) is getting one for the D70 and take a look at what it’s going to cost. Ouch!

Ya, wished I would have known about this before my birthday. Well, since I don’t have a major need for getting my shirt dirty, this can wait until Christmas when it’ll be half price on eBay. :)
