For the concerned parent with children in the back seat there is a new option coming for your vehicle and it’s called BabyCam. The ingenious little device mounts a small camera into the cars back seat headliner and allows the parent to focus the camera onto the child. The other end is hooked up to a monitor embedded into the rear view mirror giving the driver a birds eye view of their loved one. The LCD is even color!
So while your neighbor down the street may think they’re all cool with their built-in compass and exterior temperature gauge on their mirror, you’ll be able to see if Junior is chocking or not for a mere $900 upgrade in your next Toyota. But then again, your neighbor may keel over from laughter when he hears what you paid for it when you can get a similar low-tech solution for only $4.95 (plus shipping and handling.) (PS: There’s also a “widescreen” low-tech version, too.)
