Happy Labor Day

Today we’re going to visit Nana and Grandpa in San Jose and Liz will get a birthday spree at Valley Fair from Nana, mom. I’ll stay back with Grandpa, dad, and the kids and swim and just enjoy the kids. Later, we’ll have Tia Daniela and Uncle Sean as well as Auntie Dale and Uncle Jon for dinner. It’ll be neat to see mom and dad’s remodeled kitchen, too. I think it’ll complete the “I didn’t grow up in this house” effect. :)

Dude, didn’t your parents redo the kitchen not that long ago. Of course that would be like 12-15 years ago. That is a while, but not that long in kitchen years.

They did a minor kitchen update after I left home. Still had the same fridge, microwave, oven, etc. Just new tile and some other stuff. Now it’s way different…but nice. Just saying that the house looks completely different…except my parents room for the most part, ironically enough. I understand, though. It was time to update. :)
