Well after todays loss to Cincinnati, the Steelers pretty much sured up their chances of not getting into the play-offs. Since Cincinnati is two games a head of Pittsburgh and they won the one team the Steeler didn’t seem to be able to handle in their division (Ravens,) that puts the Bengals in the tie breaker if it came to it. With the AFC as good as it is this year, there’s little chance of a Wild Card with five losses to your schedule.
Man, three interceptions. That’s so weak. I can’t believe Ben did that and at this point, I’m done watching them. I just don’t have time to pick up the tapes and watch them at night. I don’t have the time to devot to this crud. Hey, if it were live and I had cable, ya, I’d still watch them, I just can’t take time for them anymore beyond the call of duty.
I think they need to just loose the rest of their games to get a better draft pick. Bettis needs to stop holding out and retire. He’s not going to get that ring, unfortunately. Bums me out, ’cause he totally deserves it, but with a horrible secondary and poor offensive line (due to injury,) there’s no chance of the seeing another 15-1 year that will lead to a Super Bowl for a few more years. Ben needs to excel and our defense needs to be rebuilt to the ‘95 season strength. Right now, it’s all a joke.
Go Colts!

It is funny, yet sad. The Steelers are 7-5 and you are giving up on them. The Vikings are 7-5 and there is hope. I am not getting my hopes up, too high. It is just two teams with the same record and one is happy and the other isnt.
Game in Minn in 2 weeks. Pitt can (and better) get on track this week by beating the Bears. I am still not all the secure in Minn. I still think Pitt will beat them as well. Then there is Detroit. I see Pitt winning at least 3 out of the final 4. (I just do not know who the other game is against)
Some of those teams ahead of Pitt still have to play each other so do not give up.
You want me to transfer the game from today? I am guessing not.

Yes, both teams are 7-5 but you’re team is in the super weak NFC and mine is in the super tight AFC. It’s been said that the NFC will for the first time in NFL history have teams below .500 make it to the playoffs. Dude, that’s weak. But with that kind of curve, ya, there is hope for Minn. The Steelers? Very little. We are two behind Cinn. and the rest of their games are cakewalk in comparison to what they’ve played. They’ll lock up the AFC North easy. The Chargers are on a roll and will get the Wild Card.
BTW, as hot as you guys have been in the last three weeks and with us losing our last three, I say you probably will win this meet up.

It is weak that it was said a below .500 team is going to make the playoff. It is obvious that is not going to happen. Right now there is a 7-5 that would not make the playoffs. Just like the AFC.
I understand the AFC is better, but I am not really sure by how much. Look at the Patriots. 7-5 and in first. 7-5 would not get a first place position in any of the NFC divisions. Of course there are the Colts. So that meesses that up.
Also the AFC that 7 teams with 4 or less wins while the NFC has 5 with 4 or less wins. So while the AFC’s top teams are better the bottom just might be worse.
3 of Pitts last last 4 are against the “weak” NFC. The other is against Cleveland. Again 3 out of 4 if not a sweep for Pitt. SD still has Miami, Indy, KC and Den. 1 game is alomost a gimme ( there are no gimmes in the NFL)
I still think Pitt has a good shot and now is the time to get hot.

Ya okay, get me all excited again! :)) It’s just with Cinn. as hot as they are, I don’t see Pitt. doing well out of game one. But then again, their best playoff history post 70s have been road wins. Of the last four five championship games, four were at home and they lost them all. So if we have to go to Coltsville there might be a chance to win. Well, as long as Manning doesn’t throw into our secondary.
Wait a minute, we have a secondary?

Okay, just did the NFL.com stats and looks like Jacksonville has to lose next week against the Colts, Pitt. wins the rest and SD losses one as well. If that all happens, the Steelers have a Wild Card chance. That would put them up most likely against Cinn. in the Wild Card game which I think we could win if Ben decides not to hand them the ball three times (or any at all) like yesterday. And the Raiders did go and win the Super Bowl in 1980 as a Wild Card team, so we could do it again, too.
I know, I know, it’s what dreams are made of.
If you have play the “what-if” game, then you shouldn’t be playing the game ’cause you ain’t good enough, buddy.

Go Bears!!
December 6th, 2005 at 8:42
Indeed, their PA is 127! Man, is this the defense from the mid-80’s? I think the Bears may be the NFC team to beat this year!
December 6th, 2005 at 11:12
The only problem with the Bears is the offense. I know you need some kind of offense to win. The 85 Bears has Gualt, McMannon and some guy name Payton (not Manning) If you can get your defense to score 1 touchdown against the Bears and you offense to do the same, you are going to win 14-10.
I am cheering for Pitt this weekend.

If the Bears hold our sub-par offense to basically nothing (how much did we score with the Colts?) and our defense lets the like of Jacksonville, then the Bears win.
Glad Chi-town is in your division.

I am just glad there is a thing called the wild card.
Go Steelers…..Steal a win!!!
