Wow, this iPod craze is coming full circle. Now you can score dates by simply proudly displaying your arctic white cable attached to your iPod. BusinessWeek is telling us that people are iPod jacking (sharing your iPod jack to show others what music you are in to,) and then trading numbers. I guess now you can see if they sync those tunes via Apple or PC at the other end.

I must admit, the white ear buds or cable do catch my eye, too. Living in a smaller town, when I would first see that white cable, I’d think, “Alright! Using the sweet player.” Oddly enough, now that I think about it, it was always women that were using the iPod. Shesh, am I the only guy in town using an iPod? Hope not.

This is a nice change in story about the iPod and attracting attention. After the reports of muggings in New Yorks subways, I think getting dates instead of beat up is a better way to get the most out of your iPod.
