Now that we all can hardly wait for the MacBook Pros to lavish our laps, a question I would like to pose is how will Apple embrace Wireless USB? I’ve always found it ironic that it was Apple that started utilizing USB first and better then the two inventors of it, Intel and Microsoft. I still struggle to find keyboards with USB ports on them for the PC. Dang, what is the problem, guys?!

So, will Apple start employing Wireless USB way before the others in the PC crowd? Will we see Apple keyboards, wireless, with a familiar USB port in it? How ’bout flicking one of the best features of a Mac, Target Mode, up one notch higher and allowing other W-USB hosts to attach to a MacBook Pro while you hold the T key down on boot up? I get giddy thinking about how cool that would be! I don’t know if this is even possible, th0ugh it seems it is. Since the BIOS (or rather the extensible firmware interface (EFI)) is the one handling the duties of Target Mode, transport shouldn’t be an issue.

Even if Wireless Target Mode doesn’t happen, I’m sure Apple is going to be at the forefront with W-USB and I’m sure it’s going to be just another feature that sales the Mac over the PC.
