Design Smart Ideas (DSI) has designed something very smart indeed. The Googolboard is a well thought out keyboard for children. Each key is 1 inch by 1 inch and are color coded. The number row is red, the vowels and constants are blue, with punctuation marks getting a bright yellow. Everything else is green (with envy.)
I saw the keyboard at MacWorld and must say this looked to be the perfect thing to teach children typing on. With its large and sensitive keys that respond to gentle finger depressions, the immediate response of the keyboard will excite children when they see the results on the screen. Additionally, keyboard also looked sturdy and ready to take on Juniors beating if needed.
With USB and PS2 inputs, the keyboard will work on any PC or Mac. To be released in February, DSI is now taking pre-orders for $69.99.
