I work on computers every day and build customs for my clients from time-to-time. The power supplies are huge and loud in most cases unless the client wants to spend a pretty penny for the really quiet ones. When I saw this power supply unit (PSU) at ExtremeTech, I was trippin’ to read that it could handle a 3 GHz CPU, disk drive, and the motherboard. Wow! Not bad at all. While not meant for an ATX box, you could use it in one if you wanted to. Looking more at the small-form-factor market, such as for the Intel Core Duos, Mini-box.com hopes to get these into small places as well as the 1U server market soon.
