In Germany, or least when I was a kid in Germany, it is custom to use a fork and knife for every meal. When I traveled on business back in ’98, that custom was still in force to the point of using them with pizza. I dug that and started doing the same when I returned to the States as, hey, it kept your hands clean! Anyway, I feel “naked” without a knife when I have a fork in my hand for any meal and I always stare in amazement at others when they don’t use a fork. “How do they do it without a knife?”
I’ve never been sure how to answer that question but now all you crazy Americans can eat pizza without a knife if you so chose to. The new Pizza Fork and Cutter puts both the fork you love to use and the “knife” you don’t in one. Not like those horrid sporks at KFC, but rather something that can actually do two jobs at once. Unfortunately, Gizmodo, feeling it gets all the stories way ahead of the its time, just didn’t get this one out in time for todays big game. So, you’ll have to use this on your pizza for the Pro Bowl in two weeks. But hey, at least you can still use it for a ball game!
