Looks like IBM isn’t going to sell it’s notebook division and die in the mobile PC world completely. Nope, its just shown off a “revolutionary” Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) chipset that will allow folks like you and I to connect to other computers at gigaspeeds from a little tiny chip one day! It’s a truly amazing little wonder that baffles the mind on just how IBM did it. I bet that little facility over there in the Almaden Valley came up with this one. They always shooed me off when I tried to gain access. Oh well.
TG Daily has the whole scoop on this very interesting chip that could change the future of wireless communication. But then again, look how long its taken Bluetooth to catch on here in the States. Mmm.
