Let the scary begin as CityWatcher.com is one of the first companies to inject employees with RFID tags. Two employees were injected the radio emitting chips into each persons bicep encapsulated in glass. The company does not require injected tags for those to maintain employment; however, those requiring access to the datacenter must be have the procedure applied.
CityWatcher.com stated the reason for the injections was for higher security. Yet a recent finding by Jonathan Westhues demonstrated that a VeriChip can be easily skimmed and cloned thus defeating the greater security CityWatch.com is looking for. Company officials were unaware of Westhues findings.
These two very things are what scares me about this technology. Easy cracking and or cloning and requiring employees to have injections. How soon before the government requires we have these injected in the name of homeland security? (Shudder.)
