As for Viiv, part of the Intel spec requirement to be a part of Viiv as a manufacturer, you MUST be running Windows MCE; by definition, no Mac Viiv. Apple will most likely go their own way. Think about it. It IS the Apple media centre. It’s just a different concept. Remember this is Apple not Microsoft. An airport express with video streaming will never arrive because it has no user interface software for a tv interface. You need Front Row as your interface so you need a light PC.
