If you’re daring enough to try out the latest and upcoming version of Firefox, then head over to mozilla.org to grab some Bon Echo. Bon Echo is the code name for Firefox 2.0.

There are no tremendious earth shattering changes but it will be using SQLite to manage your history and bookmarks now. Kinda wonder what performance hit (and foot print) that will make on systems. Still, pretty cool to use a database to keep track of where you’ve been and where you want to go. Also added where some “changes to tabbed browsing behavior”, an extended search plugin format, and support for SVG text is now part of the fox.

Will this be enough to fight IE 7…or is Firefox 1.5 already enough? :)
