Mom once told me when I was a kid that the small Christmas present didn’t mean it was something crappy. Nope, on the contrary, it may just be the best gift of them all.
Well the folks at Sirius would bark right along with my mother in agreement as it’s just plopped in front of the world a 4.5” x 2.5” x .6” box that weighs only 4.2 ounces for all of us to be excited about. Introducing the Sportster4, which is, “40 percent smaller than the Sportster Replay, while still maintaining a large, easy-to-read 6-line scrolling display and rotary tuning knob,” this new receiver will certainly put smiles on any satellite loving listener. As with the version the Sportser4 is replacing, this unit either docks in a home or car cradle. The car dock gets an AUX input for easy integration of an MP3 player
Features included is a 44 minute buffer for pausing and replay ability of live programing. Game Zone allows subscribers to quickly see scores of favorite NFL, NBA and NHL teams easily on the LCD screen. Further keeping the sports fanatic in tune and up to date, Game Alert notifies users when their favorite team is playing and informs of score changes.
If you’ve ever found yourself saying, “Man, I love this song. I’ve got to remember who sings it so when I get home, I can download it from iTunes,” then you’re in luck if you have a poor memory. Now Sportser4 includes, “MEMO with S-Seek Alert stores names of favorite artists, songs and programs, and alerts users when playing on any channel .”
With a slew of other features, Sportser4 is definitively a small treasure indeed. The unit will be available later this month at a suggested price of $169.99.
