Welcome Back U2 iPod

It was a sad thing to see that wonderful black iPod with its red ClickWheel go but now Apple has brought it back, updated for all you kiddies in the new video version. Since this iPod is video centric, instead of getting a coupon from Apple to download every song U2 has recorded under the sun like the first U2 iPod, this time you get a coupon for a 30 minute video. Get it? Neat tie-in, right?

So what’s this new spiffy iPod going to cost you? Well the non-U2 branded one (with an all black ClickWheel) goes for $299 and this new U2 one will cost you $329. That’s exactly $30 more than the regular one. So, for $30 more, you get a red wheel and some videos that you could buy even if you don’t have an iPod (thought iTunes is required.) Sound like a deal or what? Oh ya, you also get a black back with band member autographs. There you go, now we’re talking value.
