Man, my wife thought I was nuts when I had our son’s web site up and running (with his own domain name) within three hours of his birth, but this professor from MIT takes the cake! Slapping up, “11 overhead, omni-directional fisheye video cameras and 14 ceiling-mounted microphones,” and a, “5-terabyte disk cache in the basement stores data temporarily until it is physically carted back to the Media Lab for analysis,” I’d be scared to think what Deb Roy’s wife thinks. Now sure, it’s all in the name of science, namely how one acquires language, but still, kinda a bit over board on your son’s birth, don’t you think?
