SvenOnTech told you about MediaCentral a while back after we couldn’t get Front Row to play MPEG2 formatted movies. We feel in love with the easy to use Front Row-like software and now equinux has just released for the Mac worlds enjoyment, 2.0.
MediaCentral 2.0 is filled with amazing new features such as support for IP TV, direct viewing of YouTube and Google videos, videos and music from iTunes, picture feeds, Windows Media plug-ins, and hold on to your hats, full-screen video games from the ’80s! Sweeeet!
Upon using MediaCentral 1.x, we here at SvenOnTech figured that equinux was playing crack dealer ’cause how it could release such a great software package without any cost associated to it was too hard to believe. Sure enough, now that many are probably hooked and with the slew of extra yummy features in 2.0, there is now a fee for your next fix. Yet for all that you are getting for the price MediaCentral 2.0 is asking for, it really still is a steal. You can try it out before you pony up the $30, so give it a shot and, well, we have a feeling you’ll be buying it anyway.
