If you’re looking for some bangin’ software to burn some groovy discs on your blazzin’ Mac, then you need to check out Disco. It’s cool, man!
From the great guys that brought you AppZapper, we now get just an easy and eye pleasing application for burning discs. Yes, you can now simply drag and drop files to Disco and off it’ll burn. What? You can pretty much do that now on the Mac? Yes you can, but what if you drag like a few gigs of stuff? The Mac will give you the sorry Charlie message and instruct you to reduce your files or insert a larger capacity disc. Disco? Man, it’s got your back and it’ll just start smokin’ (literally) and just ask for more discs when needed. Disco calls this built-in multisession without worry, Spandex. Sweet! Oh wait, that’s 80s slang. I mean, cool! Disco will also allow you to make disc-to-disc copy with utter ease with or without a second drive. Again, it’ll take care of everything for you keeping the details behind the scenes.
Disco has another cool feature, too, called Discography. This will keep track of every burn you’ve ever done. Additional features include, “…creating a disc image from a set group of files, erasing rewritable media, VIDEO_TS burning, and it can even detect physical motion on laptops to prevent coasters.”
Don’t worry dance floor dynamos, even when the sparkle fades from your local club and the future is upon us, Disco will continue to keep up. With plans to support Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, Disco will become an essential utility for your Mac. And while likes of Toaster and others that will cost you upwards toward a $100, you’ll find yourself dancing in the streets when you see that Disco is only $14.95.
