iMovie seems to have the lock on home video production; however, it’s still difficult to just “drop” video in and create a completed quality production in a mere few minutes. A bit of work is needed from you, the producer. muvee takes a different approach and it becomes the producer, hence its name, autoProducer. Just in time for all those holiday videos, muvee has released autoProducer 6 with some advanced features that gives the user a bit more executive production rights.
“muvee fans love the automatic video editing capabilities of our autoProducer software but many ask for more control and more ways to add personal touches to their muvees,” said Dr. Pete Kellock, muvee’s founder and CEO. “With autoProducer 6, we’re giving our users this control while maintaining the simplicity that’s inherent in muvee’s unique approach.
We’ve done this in a way that’s fast, elegant, and radically different from conventional approaches to video editing. For example, autoProducer 6 introduces a totally new concept called superStyles. These are customizable muvee styles with sliders and other controls that users can adjust to radically alter the mood and feel of their muvees. Simple concept, compelling results. And you have 8 of these superStyles to choose from.”
Watching the sample video on muvee’s site gives you an idea of just what you can expect from these “muvees”. I was mightily impressed with the Journal muvee which easily puts your adventure into an easy to understand time line with a high production cost look. Sentimental is an excellent muvee for those heart-tug moments such as the birth of a child or the death of a loved one and anything in-between. Back-in-Time can add some fun and excitement as well as class to just about anything you video tape.
muvee looks really interesting and if you’re a videographer that just wants to tape, auto-edit, and burn DVDs in a quick manner but desire a professional taste to your output, autoProducer may just be what you’re looking for.
