Who doesn’t love sub-woofers? I mean, even the name is great. Hook one of these bad boys up to your entertainment system and it’s like having a movie theater in your living room, only without the little 2 year olds who talk or cry throughout the entire film (unless you have kids, then you’re kinda stuck.) If you can’t get enough home entertainment gadgets, then you’ll love the new BX-4850 Ultra2 In-Wall Sub woofer, introduced at CES on January 8th.

BG Corporation and THX Ltd.—the two leading manufacturers and providers of such technology—have joined forces to produce the first in-wall woofer for the modern home. This bad boy also incorporates THX Balanced Bass-line™, a new THX technology that delivers vibration-free bass. Incredible bass with minimal distortion. Laurie Fincham, Chief Scientist at THX said that: “The slim, yet elegant design minimizes the often hollow, unnatural bass sound caused by wall vibrations, ensuring that homeowners don’t experience distracting vibrations during their favorite movies and musical presentations.”

Not only does it have all the newest features, it’s built into the wall, blending in with the rest of your house. “The tall, slim profile of the BX-4850 Ultra2 Subwoofer is unobtrusive and blends harmoniously into any décor. It just disappears into the wall, yet delivers incredibly powerful clear sound with virtually no distortion,” said Paul Kahn, Chief Executive Officer of BG Corp.

All you’ll see is the tall and slim grill 26 inches high and 4 inches wide. This sub doesn’t rely on the wall cavity or a separate back-box, and can be installed completely in the standard 2×4 stud wall.

Powered by 2,400 watts of power, the BX-4850 offers outstanding playback of your favorite movies, video games, and music. If you are a hard-core home theatre junkie, definitely take a look at this baby. It’s expected to be available through BG dealers later this spring.
