At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), in Las Vegas this month, there were plenty of attractions and giveaways galore inside the Convention Halls. But it was just outside the show walls where Handmark — global leader in the development and distribution of mobile content including the award-winning Pocket Express wireless on-device portal service –- claims to have stolen the show in terms of giveaways. Handmark CEO, August Grasis, presented one delighted customer and grand-draw prize-winner with a brand new Porsche Cayman S.

The Porsche giveaway was the culmination of a nine-month competition targeted at Handmark Pocket Express customers.

“We have an incredibly loyal and fanatical customer base,” said Grasis. “This promotion served two purposes – To say thank you to our customer base; and to encourage existing Express customers to share the experience. The results were better than we anticipated with thousands of entrants and higher than expected multiples of new customers.”

“I was a fan of Pocket Express. But my fan status has just gone into overdrive,” said prize-winner Chet Kolley of San Diego. “The new Porsche Cayman S was literally my dream car, and now my dream has finally come true!”

Pocket Express is one of the most popular on-device portals, offering unlimited, free access to worldwide news and photos from the AP, detailed sports coverage, and complete weather forecasts for more than 2-million locations around the world. Pocket Express also offers an Executive Edition, including white and yellow page directory search, Oxford reference, movie show times, stock market portfolio tracking, and detailed street level maps and driving directions for a $6.99 per month subscription.

Pocket Express was recently named a finalist for the 2007 SIIA CODiE Awards in the category best mobile solution.
