We’ve been playing with the Ojo PVP-900, or Shadow, for the past three months and dude, we’re impressed. We’ve got to admit, we thought this was just another Skype client kinda thing slapped into a stand-alone unit but it really isn’t. It’s a great, and we mean great, videophone that is as easy as Ojo says it is. We even made a grandma (Nana) test the set-up out and she passed with flying colors! Give the review a read and maybe pick one up yourself.

I have an Ojo and am biased.
For many, the benefits of being able to re-establish important
connections at a deeper visceral level far outway the costs.
For some, it is too expensive.
By the way, the monthly service fee is $10 and not $15.
Also, if you are looking for a lower cost on the equipment, use
one of the well known shopping services. That is how I found two
Ojo Shadows for $200 each. Incredible.

Thanks for the comment, Mason. We were informed earlier today by Ojo of the price reduction and have made note of it in the review. We also noted how this product has an incredible following which may just make up for the pricing.

I purchased a Shadow Ojo at CompUSA which was closing so I got a great price and other customers were buying whatever Ojos were left.
This product is impressive and is appealing to many who have loved ones who live at a distance. The picture is sharp with smooth motion and is profoundly realistic because of the audio synchrony. A little boy tried to pet a puppy through the Ojo.
It is as if you open a window into the room where the person on the Ojo is and the fact you do not have to worry about running up a bill because of the flat monthly fee of just ten bucks is awesome.
