Those lucky enough to have either a Dell Latitude D620, HP Compaq NC6400, or a Lenovo ThinkPad T60 with its built-in EV-DO radio will be happy to know that the faster Revision A (Rev A) has just gone live in Northern California. The cities included are:
- Sacramento
- Chico
- Redding
- Oroville
- Yuba City
- Marysville
- Reno
- Stockton
- Modesto
- Tracy
Obviously if you are in a town near by these listed ones, you now have the super-speedy Rev A, baby! Much (and we mean MUCH) faster than AT&Ts (Cingular) pathetic EDGE (have fun you iPhone users when not near a hotspot next month!) This roll out will allow mobile warriors to get DSL-like speeds in their car, park, office, or anywhere they have a strong EV signal. This is compatible also with the V740 ExpressCard we’re currently testing on our MacBook Pro and we have noticed a way faster surf response. In fact, it really is like we have DSL!
If you have a need for mobile Internet, we highly suggest you contact VZW (1-800-2 JOIN IN) or visit its site and get hooked up now.

Unfortunately, the WWAN hardware in the Lenovo T60 is Rev 0 and will not give you the higher speeds offered by Rev A.
