Our beloved DuelAdapter (review) has brought in a new sibling into the family. The DuelAdapter Cradle. The Cradle takes the idea of the original DuelAdapter but goes the other way with it. Instead of CardBus to ExpressCard, the Cradle goes ExpressCard to CardBus. So now you’ll be able to share your spiffy new ExpressCard with your older and aging notebook! Or you can use your flash card reader on a buddies laptop when visiting him in Montana (takes a while for them to catch up with technology.
)
SvenOnTech was told via e-mail that the, “DuelAdapter Cradle mechanically and electrically bridges the two formats with no compromise in speed and with “plug-and-play” ease of use. The Cradle seamlessly converts information and transfers data at the full PCMCIA and CardBus transfer rates supported by the computer. Moreover, the Cradle is hot pluggable, and requires no software driver. It is compatible with Windows XPTM, VistaTM, and Mac OS X 10.3.9TM and higher operating systems. The Cradle is FCC, CE, and RoHS compliant.”
For $49.95, we encourage anyone in need of such a device to grab it via the pre-order now.
