I started My Palm Life back in November 2002 as an exercise in weblogging and as I'm passionate about Palm PDA's it seemed to be an obvious choice of subject. I have used the site as a medium to post news, views and on occasion rants!

For a few months I was thinking about going the whole nine yards - purchasing the URL and learning how to write HTML but I just never had the time. Then along came Sven Rafferty. Sven replied to a request I put-up on the blog asking if anyone wanted to co-post on the blog. This was motivated by a number of advantages I could see more blogs, better blogs and some friendly differences of opinion. And this is exactly what we got but into the bargain I found out that Sven is a web designer well that was just too tempting :-) I went ahead and suggested to Sven that we could move away from the Blogger.com model and could he ‘knock together’ a nicer looking site for us. This site is the result and what an excellent job he has made of it!

Also on the team is Rick Loebler together we make up the MyPalmLife Guys. I'm based in the UK, Sven is in the US and Rick is in Australia. We should certainly get a mixture of views. And remember - the sun will never set on the MyPalmLife Empire!

We hope this site will provide our readers with something a bit different to other sites. It will not be a mouthpiece of the official palm community or simply a ‘look at this’ links site it will be 3 guys talking about palm OS PDA's, what they do with them, what software they find useful on them and what things they find interesting on other sites. It should become an exciting first port of call for anyone interested in PDA's. As the forums section grows we hope to offer palm users a place to exchange news, ideas and opinion on all aspects of the palm experience.

			I live in the UK with my beautiful wife Becky and my equally gorgeous son Matthew. My first PDA was a Palm Pilot Personal back in the late 1990s. From there I moved over to a Psion5, a PalmV, a m505 and now a T\|T3


			I live in the Central Valley, California with my gorgeous wife, sweet daughter and great son. We're only about 45 minutes East of San Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley, from which my wife and I are originally from. Yup, I drove past Palm's headquarters on Great America Parkway daily for years. My first Palm was a U.S. Robotics PalmPilot and then I upgraded it with the slot card. I moved onto a Windows CE Casio Cassiopeia, back to Palm with the Vx, back to Windows with the first iPAQ, then to the iPAQ 3700, iPAQ 5455 and now back to the world of Palm with my beloved Tungsten T3. I am very happy to be back in Palm land, though I still do miss some PocketPC things. I guess that'll add a little spice, here. ;)


			I live in Wollongong, Australia's seventh largest city around an hour south of Sydney. I live here with my wife and four children but travel daily to Sydney where I work. My first PDA (if you can call it that) was a Newton Message Pad that I bought around 10 years ago. Since that time I've owned a Palm V, a HP Jordana, Tungsten T, and now a T3. The colour (notice the correct spelling of colour for our US visitors) and resolution of the HP was what originally attracted me away from the Palm V. I quickly realised that these "gimmicks" were outweighed by the devices large size, poor battery life, slow response time and so on. Since I essentially use my PDA for work, I went back to something that was more responsive and that didn't feel like I was carrying a brick in my shirt pocket all day long. Along with Sven in the US and John in the UK I'm sure we'll be able to offer a well rounded and truly international view of life as only dedicated Palm users can.
